Softball Game Preview: Yorktown Wildcats vs. Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats

Yorktown is 0-5 against Skidmore-Tynan since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Yorktown Wildcats take on Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Yorktown has given up an average of 14.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Yorktown is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 28-13 to Port Aransas.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Skidmore-Tynan was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to Woodsboro. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Yorktown's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Skidmore-Tynan, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.

Yorktown might still be hurting after the 12-1 loss they got from Skidmore-Tynan in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Yorktown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
