South Glens Falls extended their winning streak to 12 on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 12-1 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Scotia-Glenville Tartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-2 back in April.

South Glens Falls' win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kylee Craft, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

As for Scotia-Glenville, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4-1. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Scotia-Glenville's side, Keeley Kristel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. Kristel has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emily Martin was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

South Glens Falls and Scotia-Glenville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Bulldogs will take on Hudson Falls at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (32 vs. 99). South Glens Falls is on a five-game streak of home wins, the Tigers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Scotia-Glenville (ranked 75th) will meet Broadalbin-Perth (ranked 411th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
