Baseball Recap: Castle Park Takes a Loss

Castle Park came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 21-1 to the Ramona Bulldogs.

Castle Park's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Ramona, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Castle Park is taking a road trip to square off against Kearny at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Komets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.5 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ramona, they will host Valley Center at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Bulldogs have won six straight at home dating back to last season, while the Jaguars won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
