Volleyball Preview: Scotus Shamrocks vs. Concordia Mustangs
Scotus has been away from home for two games now, but on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Concordia Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Scotus earned a 2-0 win over Gross Catholic.
Scotus' not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Gross Catholic between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21.
Scotus relied on the efforts of Kayla Hoffman, who had 11 digs, and Sophia Langan, who had five digs. Hoffman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Concordia posted their biggest victory since September 12th on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Elmwood-Murdock with a sharp 3-0 win.
Concordia walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-17.
Scotus' win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. As for Concordia, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
