Softball Recap: Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Drops Highest Score of Season Against Larimore

Everything went their way against the Larimore Polar Bears on Monday as they made off with a 26-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Polar Bears: they've now won six in a row.

Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Larimore, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-4 victory against Grafton on the 6th. As for Larimore, they will face off against Tioga at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.33 runs per game on average), something the Polar Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
