Basketball Game Preview: Hendersonville Bearcats vs. Brevard Blue Devils

Hendersonville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Brevard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hendersonville Bearcats will square off against the Brevard Blue Devils at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in Hendersonville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.

Hendersonville is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing East Rutherford: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Hendersonville blew East Rutherford out of the water with an 84-37 final score. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Martiste Mills, who went 9 for 14 to rack up 22 points and three steals. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Wynn, who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Hendersonville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in six consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Brevard waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over the Panthers.

Brevard's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Hendersonville, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.

Hendersonville strolled past Brevard in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 61-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hendersonville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
