There's no place like home for Pine Crest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Fort Lauderdale Flying L with a sharp 11-1 victory on Tuesday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Bryant Barkan looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. He also allowed three hits, marking his first of the season.

At the plate, Pine Crest let Cooper Obst and Troy Ceritelli run wild. Obst went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles, while Ceritelli scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Max McCawley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Pine Crest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Lauderdale only posted a batting average of .211.

Pine Crest's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Fort Lauderdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Crest will welcome West Boca Raton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Lauderdale, they will host Stoneman Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on April 3.
