Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Park Takes a Loss

The Evergreen Park Mustangs came up short against the Shepard Astros on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

While Evergreen Park ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17.

Fionn Doherty paced Evergreen Park's offense, picking up six kills. Doherty got some help from Michael Bruno and his 16 assists.

Evergreen Park's loss dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Shepard, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-14 record this season.

Evergreen Park will square off against Chicago Hope Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Evergreen Park is facing Chicago Hope Academy at the right time seeing as Chicago Hope Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Shepard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
