Baseball Recap: Cleveland Takes a Loss

Cleveland entered their matchup against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Clippers fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-1. The Clippers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Cleveland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braeden Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Cleveland's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.
