Meanwhile, Towanda managed to keep up with Wellsboro until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Black Knights lost 4-1 to the Hornets. The loss continues a trend for Towanda in their meetings with Wellsboro: they've now lost three in a row.

Towanda's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

Troy took their victory against Towanda in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 6-2 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Black Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
