Basketball Game Preview: Sapulpa Chieftains vs. Edmond North Huskies

The Sapulpa Chieftains will challenge the Edmond North Huskies at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Sapulpa didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Glenpool, but they still walked away with a 41-35 win.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, Edmond North prevailed. They managed a 48-43 victory over Edmond Santa Fe on Tuesday. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Wolves are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edmond North has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Sapulpa, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Things could have been worse for Sapulpa, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 78-60 loss to Edmond North when the teams last played back in December of 2024.
