Softball Recap: Portsmouth West's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Portsmouth West came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-3 to the East Carter Raiders.

M Bradford made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Portsmouth West's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13. As for East Carter, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portsmouth West will square off against Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Carter, they will take on Bath County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders are on an eight-game streak of home wins, the Wildcats a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
