Baseball Recap: Greenville H Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Greenville H Hurricanes came up short against the Pickens Blue Flame and fell 5-1. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adam Greene was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Greenville H saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Wackerhagen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Greenville H's record is now 6-6. As for Pickens, they moved to 2-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenville H will venture away from home to challenge Christ School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville H is facing Christ School at the right time seeing as Christ School is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Pickens, they will square off against Palmetto at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
