Volleyball Game Preview: Girls Preparatory School Bruisers vs. Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish

Girls Preparatory School is 2-8 against Knoxville Catholic since September of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bruisers will look to defend their home court against the Fighting Irish at 6:00 p.m. Girls Preparatory School is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Girls Preparatory School will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Webb, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bruisers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans on Thursday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 21, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, Knoxville Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Cleveland on Wednesday, taking the game 2-0.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 32-30, 26-24.

Knoxville Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Girls Preparatory School, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.

Girls Preparatory School came out on top in a nail-biter against Knoxville Catholic in their previous meeting on September 4th, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Bruisers repeat their success, or do the Fighting Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
