Football Recap: Harrells Christian Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Harrells Christian Academy and High Point Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Harrells Christian Academy had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Cougars, falling 56-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Crusaders were not able to get on the board.

Reid Strickland threw for 38 yards on three of 16 attempts. Dashaun McKoy was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards.

Jaylen Moore had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 158 yards and four scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry for High Point Christian Academy. Moore's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 21st straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Amsterdam Knox, who rushed for 27 yards and one TD.

Harrells Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for High Point Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Harrells Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for High Point Christian Academy, they will take on Asheville School (Independent) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Moore and Shiloh Mukendi.
