The Cedar Reds will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Grantsville Cowboys at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Cedar came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to Pine View. The Reds haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Payton Ludlow was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Grantsville had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Hunter an 11-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won five in a row.
