Softball Recap: Bowie Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bowie's offense. They came up short against the South Grand Prairie Warriors on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The Volunteers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Bowie's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for South Grand Prairie, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bowie will square off against rival Grand Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Grand Prairie is set to take on their familiar foe Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (South Grand Prairie has won four straight at home, while Arlington won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
