Ad Fontes Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairfax HomeSchool, who comes in off a win.
Fairfax HomeSchool put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Monday. Everything went their way against Covenant Christian Academy as Fairfax HomeSchool made off with a 66-41 win. Given Fairfax HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Covenant Christian Academy is ranked 311th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Ad Fontes Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-54 loss to Chelsea Academy on Tuesday. Ad Fontes Academy has struggled against Chelsea Academy recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Fairfax HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Ad Fontes Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Fairfax HomeSchool against Ad Fontes Academy in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 82-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairfax HomeSchool since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
