Baseball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Cardinal Newman

While Cardinal Newman's win against Seminole Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hawks 4-2. Four seems to be a good number for the Crusaders as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Max Gonzalez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabriel Acevedo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
