Volleyball Preview: Peru Tigers vs. Taylor Titans
Peru has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Taylor Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Peru will be strutting in after a win while Taylor will be coming in after a loss.
Last Monday, it was close, but Peru sidestepped Triton for a 3-2 victory.
Peru took Triton into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 18-25, 25-22, 15-12.
Meanwhile, Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-0 to Sheridan, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-6, 25-22.
The win got Peru back to even at 8-8. As for Taylor, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Peru beat Taylor 3-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Peru since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
