Basketball Recap: Olathe Pirates vs. Cedaredge Bruins
After losing to Cedaredge the last time they met, Olathe decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Olathe Pirates walked away with a 68-59 victory over the Cedaredge Bruins on Tuesday. While the Pirates didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olathe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Gordon, who posted 22 points and seven boards. Gordon's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Daniel Almanza also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Olathe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matches.
