Baseball Recap: Wallenberg Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Victory

Wallenberg put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the KIPP SF College Prep Phoenix with a sharp 21-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Aaron Mankotia made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kai Yerovam, who fired off four home runs, two stolen bases, and one double while going 6-for-4. Dominick Lorencillo was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
