Basketball Recap: Colleton Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Colleton Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dorchester Academy Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-73 two weeks ago.

When it comes to explaining why Colleton Prep Academy lost, don't look at Mateo Castillo. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points. Colin Hiers was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Colleton Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Dorchester Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Colleton Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-53 defeat against St. John's Christian Academy on the 31st. As for Dorchester Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 65-59 victory against Palmetto Christian Academy on the 31st.
