Basketball Game Preview: Bonanza Antlers vs. Trinity Lutheran Saints

The Bonanza Antlers will venture away from home to square off against the Trinity Lutheran Saints at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Trinity Lutheran will be up against a hot Bonanza team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went Bonanza's way against Lowell on Friday as Bonanza made off with a 78-53 victory.

Meanwhile, Trinity Lutheran came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warriors 76-23. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Warriors are ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bonanza's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Trinity Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Bonanza lost to Trinity Lutheran on the road by a decisive 67-51 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Bonanza avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
