Volleyball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Arbor View + How To Watch

Durango faced Arbor View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Trailblazers came up short against the Aggies, falling 3-0. If the Trailblazers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Aggies when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-20.

Maya Dominguez paced Durango's offense, picking up seven kills. Dominguez got some help from Aracelli Hernandez and her 14 assists. Hernandez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tylee Thrasher, each putting up two.

Durango's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-17. As for Arbor View, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 28-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durango will challenge Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Arbor View, they will take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
