Basketball Recap: Braylee Freestone Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pinnacle

There's no place like home for Monticello, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 win over the Pinnacle Panthers on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Buckaroo, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Monticello got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braylee Freestone out in front who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Maron Freestone, who had ten points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Monticello's record now sits at 3-10. As for Pinnacle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monticello will head out to take on Monument Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinnacle, they will venture away from home to square off against Whitehorse at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
