Churchill County scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 15-4 margin over the South Tahoe Vikings. Churchill County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by nine runs or more this season.

Brady Alves was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Hyde, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

On South Tahoe's side, Kyle Herrera made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for Churchill County and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for South Tahoe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Churchill County will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Douglas at 12:00 p.m. Douglas is on a five-game streak of home wins, Churchill County a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. As for South Tahoe, they will head out on the road to face off against Fernley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fernley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.43 runs per game on average), something South Tahoe will no doubt try to take advantage of.
