Basketball Recap: Westby Takes a Loss

Westby lost against Black River Falls back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Westby Norsemen took a 65-48 bruising from the Black River Falls Tigers. The Norsemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westby's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Black River Falls, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.

Westby will look to defend their home court on Monday against Royall at 7:00 p.m. Royall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Westby likes a good challenge. As for Black River Falls, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-66 loss against Blair-Taylor on the 18th.
