Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Kanab walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Grand County Red Devils on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cowboys have posted since November 1, 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Lahklyn Fenus and Kaycee Castagno, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Carsyn Cutler and her 11 assists. Taylin Kelly and Gracelyn Beckstead kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Kanab is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-17 record this season. As for Grand County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-16.

Kanab has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Maeser Prep Academy on the 25th. Grand County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
