Basketball Recap: Clairton Comes Up Short

Clairton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions 74-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-27 back in December of 2024.

Clairton's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Greensburg Central Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clairton has already played their next match (against Riverview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greensburg Central Catholic will welcome Jeannette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jeannette will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Greensburg Central Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
