Football Recap: Southern Alamance Takes Down J.H. Rose in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Southern Alamance had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the J.H. Rose Rampants with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 55-36. The Patriots pushed the score to 45-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rampants cut but never quite recovered from.

Sincere Thompson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September. Tustin Johnson was another major influence, as he rushed for 17 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Southern Alamance was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 368 rushing yards. They are a perfect 8-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 19 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jayden Brown, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Despite the loss, J.H. Rose still got an impressive performance from Nysean ?Ny? Davis, who rushed for 71 yards and one TD on only nine carries, and also caught one score. Ja'Vion Jordan helped out on the ground, rushing for 94 yards.

Southern Alamance pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.3 points on average over those games. As for J.H. Rose, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Southern Alamance has already played their next game, a 31-30 loss against Middle Creek on the 21st. J.H. Rose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
