Football Recap: Southern Alamance Patriots vs. J.H. Rose Rampants

It's playoff time, and Southern Alamance had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the J.H. Rose Rampants with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 55-36. Sincere Thompson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September. Tustin Johnson was another major influence, as he rushed for 17 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Southern Alamance was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 368 rushing yards. They are a perfect 8-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.3 points on average over those games. As for J.H. Rose, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
