Westover lost against Peach County back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots were dealt a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Westover took the loss, they still got scores from Deven Mack and Gabriel Hooper.

Even if they lost, Westover's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Christian Nix and William Owens, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Peach County's side was Nix, who picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Ashton Barton had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 181 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also catching one score for Peach County. Those 181 rushing yards gave Barton a new career-high. Deandre Stinson also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Westover's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Peach County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westover will take on Bainbridge at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. The Patriots will be up against the Bearcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Peach County, they will square off against Dougherty at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. Peach County is facing Dougherty at the right time seeing as Dougherty is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
