Champion is a perfect 9-0 against Brookfield since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Golden Flashes will venture away from home to take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Champion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

On Thursday, Champion earned a 3-1 win over Newton Falls. Champion haven't had any issues with Newton Falls recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Hunter Maylone and Westin Kuhns scored all three of Champion's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Meanwhile, Brookfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Crestview, falling 12-0. While losing is never fun, Brookfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 590th, while Crestview are ranked 286th).

Brookfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Champion, their win bumped their record up to 14-0-1.

Champion took their victory against Brookfield in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Flashes since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
