Football Recap: Lee Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lee Academy had won two straight games and Desi Monix did his part to make it three on Friday. The Colts breezed past the Regents Lions to the tune of 46-6 for which the team can thank Monix, who rushed for 296 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 17.4 yards per carry. Monix is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 115 every time he's taken the field this season.

Lee Academy's record now sits at 5-2. As for Regents, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Lee Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pillow Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Regents, they will challenge Manchester Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will be up against the Mavericks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
