Football Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Greater Nanticoke Area had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by North Pocono 56-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

North Pocono found their leader in sophomore Joe Briskie, who rushed for 95 yards on only eight carries.

Looking ahead, Greater Nanticoke Area will be playing at home against Carbondale Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Pocono, they will head out on the road to face off against Pittston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
