Basketball Recap: Spooner Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ashland last Monday, Spooner came back down to earth. The Spooner Rails were outmatched by the St. Croix Falls Saints and fell 54-26. The Rails have struggled against the Saints recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for St. Croix Falls, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.

Spooner will venture away from home to challenge Barron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Croix Falls, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-29 loss against Prescott on the 11th.
