Baseball Recap: Caney Valley Comes Up Short

Caney Valley was the 11-2 winner over Ketchum when they last played one another back in April of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Warriors on Tuesday, falling 14-2.

Preston Gipson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Bryor Bonde also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Caney Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Ketchum, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1.

Looking ahead, Caney Valley will challenge Skiatook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ketchum, they will take on Chelsea at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
