Baseball Recap: Gridley Bulldogs vs. Washington Eagles

Gridley posted their closest win since March 8th on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Washington Eagles.

Marcus Duncan looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Luis Murillo and Riley Engelmann did most of the damage at the plate: Murillo scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Engelmann went 1-for-2 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Engelmann a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Francis, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
