Soccer Game Preview: Hobbton vs. Spring Creek

The Hobbton Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Spring Creek Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hobbton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Friday, Hobbton didn't have quite enough to beat Heide Trask and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spring Creek). They had just enough and edged out Union 5-4 on Tuesday. Melanie Reyes Melende was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The win got Spring Creek back to even at 1-1-2. As for Hobbton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Hobbton took their victory against Spring Creek when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. Will Hobbton repeat their success, or does Spring Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
