Softball Game Preview: Mountain View Eagles vs. MMI Preparatory School

The Mountain View Eagles will square off against MMI Preparatory School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Mountain View and four for MMI Preparatory School.

Carbondale Area hit Mountain View with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell 7-3 to the Chargers.

Christina Denney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Keeley Flynn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for MMI Preparatory School's offense. They lost 14-0 to Greater Nanticoke Area on Tuesday.

MMI Preparatory School's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
