Central Valley is 9-1 against Ferris since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Saxons at 4:00 p.m. Central Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Ferris will be coming in after a defeat.

Central Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Mt. Spokane, who was ranked fourth at the time (Central Valley was ranked 25th). The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since April 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ferris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Cheney. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Saxons' highest-scoring contest to date.

Central Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Ferris, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Central Valley skirted past Ferris 6-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Saxons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
