Basketball Recap: Raymond Central Takes a Loss

Raymond Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Douglas County West Falcon, falling 63-39. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly 24 points.

Nolan Asher was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Will Bergsten, who had 14 points.

Raymond Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Douglas County West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Raymond Central will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Yutan at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Douglas County West, they will be taking part in a tournament against Palmyra at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmyra has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
