Baseball Recap: Bonita Vista Comes Up Short

Bonita Vista saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Torrey Pines Falcons by a score of 2-1.

DEMARCO ROJAS was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Bonita Vista saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ADRIAN FIGUEROA, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Bonita Vista has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Torrey Pines has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Bonita Vista will take on Classical Academy in a tournament on Monday. As for Torrey Pines, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Augustine at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Augustine will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Torrey Pines surely won't give up without a fight.
