Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cherokee couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Community School of Davidson Spartans on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Braves' loss signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Jordan Famularo was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 17 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracyn McRorie, who had nine digs and two assists.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 27-9. As for Community School of Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

Cherokee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Community School of Davidson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cornerstone Charter at 6:00 p.m.
