Volleyball Recap: McComb Comes Up Short

McComb suffered their biggest defeat since October 17, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Columbus Grove Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While McComb was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Columbus Grove's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-21.

Morgan Kern paced McComb's offense, picking up ten kills. Kern got some help from Claire Bryan and her 14 assists.

McComb now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Columbus Grove, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

McComb has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Vanlue on the 22nd. As for Columbus Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Bluffton on the 23rd.
