Softball Recap: Plainfield South Comes Up Short

Plainfield South lost against Plainfield East back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 5-4. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Plainfield South's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Plainfield East, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.

Plainfield South will take on Plainfield Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Plainfield East, they will venture away from home to square off against Joliet West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight.
