Oviedo had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 54-34 margin over the Master's Academy Eagles. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Despite the loss, Master's Academy still got an impressive performance from Jasie Vellon, who posted 15 points.

Oviedo pushed their record up to 8-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points over those games. As for Master's Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-9.
