Crossroads Christian is 0-3 against Pungo Christian Academy since May of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Colts will take on the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. Crossroads Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Crossroads Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Oxford Prep on Tuesday. They came up short against the Griffins, falling 7-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Colts were not able to get on the board.

Crossroads Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Adcock, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, while Pungo Christian Academy put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Northeast Academy. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Walker, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Pungo Christian Academy is undefeated when Walker posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Luke Alligood was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Pungo Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Crossroads Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Crossroads Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pungo Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Crossroads Christian suffered a grim 17-5 defeat to Pungo Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
