Senior-heavy roster expected to repeat as Philadelphia Catholic League champions.
No. 12
Archbishop Wood (Warminster, Pa.) enters the year with
lofty expectations and a senior-laden roster that returns all major
production. The reigning
Philadelphia Catholic League regular season champions finished 22-5 last
season, advancing to the Class 5A state quarterfinals before the
postseason was cut short because of COVID-19.
A
guard-oriented lineup features four Division I prospects with returning
Philadelphia Catholic League MVP Rahsool Diggins, Marcus Randolph, Daeshon Shepherd and Jaylen Stinson leading the charge. Muneer Newton and Robert Jackson anchor
the paint for coach John Mosco's roster without a true post presence.
Along
with a brutal Philadelphia Catholic League schedule, the Vikings are slated to travel to the Beach Ball Classic and Spalding Hoophall
Classic, where they are pitted against No. 11 Camden (N.J.).
This group has the experience, talent and chemistry to make a special run this season.
