Pickens lost against Lumpkin County back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pickens Dragons fell just short of the Lumpkin County Indians by a score of 29-26. The defeat continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Pickens still got an impressive performance from Hayden Jones, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Jones has become a key player for Pickens: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
